Hi all, somebody has asked me to look into replicating their website. Currently they have one local (in their office) Server 2003 IIS website that has a PostgeSQL database. They would like for redundancy to have a duplicate system/server. Besides duplicating the hardware and OS what else do I have to think about when duplicating this type of setup? So I need both IIS sites to be sync'ed as well as the database.. They even suggested they want the second server/site located externally. All I need is pointers to documentation I have to research so I can give them an educated answer.
Cheers
Phil

A lot of companies duplicate their web environment and use round-robin DNS (multiple DNS records pointing to the same website) and load balancers for redundancy purposes.
If you go you will be able to find many articles on webserver redundancy.
Hope this helps.
