Hi!
Since few days, i've got strange replies with my 'ping'.

64 bytes from router (xxx.xx.xx.1): icmp_seq=17 ttl=255 time=597.680 ms (DUP!)

My SCO is an Openserver 5.0.6Ga

any suggestions ?

Is this router in your subnet ?
If so the
Code:
 time
is excessive.
Do a
Code:
 man ping
and search for dup:
ping reports duplicate and damaged packets. Duplicate packets should never
occur, and seem to be caused by inappropriate link-level retransmissions.
Duplicates may occur in many situations and are rarely (if ever) a good
sign, although the presence of low levels of duplicates may not always be
cause for alarm.

Hope This Help
PH.

Big Thanks for the advice,
Yes my router is on the same subnet.
I will try your solution.
Jack.
