looking to replace an failing older Powerbook g4, have an opportunity to purchase a new 17in MacBookPro with the Intel DuoCore for about $700.00/USD less then the Intel DuoCore2 model with all the same bells and whistles.
For a user who only does word processing, surfing and minor IPhoto stuff would the difference in speed be that noticable?
