DUN Disapeared!!

Hi
I am working on a PC with Home XP.
The DUN in network connections has disapeared.
However it still connects to the internet via Explorer DUN dialogue promps to connect then connects shows no Twin Monitor in Tray and no way to disconnect!
Any ideas I have looked at properties on the DUN prompt window it goes no where.

Control Panel/ Network Connection/ right-click Properties of YOUR-ISP/ General Tab, look for the Check Box (Show Icon in Notification Area....) at the bottom, is it checked?

Are you Hiding any Inactive Icons via the TaskBar Properties?

System Restore back to when you last had the Icon.

Hi Linney
There is no ISP icon thats the strange thing.

No theres no inactive icons in the taskbar.

System restore is an option however the client has installed other programs since then and I am a bit hesitant to do that.

There must be an area in administrative tools that allow the dissconnect dialogue box to appear. I suspect the user checked the box and told the option off.
