I have a queriey that looks for a checkbox ( -1 ) on a form (Frm #1) then looks up data from a table (Tbl #1) and correctly displays this data. Now I want to turn around and put this "looked-up" data into another table (Tbl #2). I am obviously making this harder than necessary and am getting frustrated. Any thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.

Hi.

If it is a new table you want to put the data into, in the query builder, click on "Query" then "Make Table Query" and you will be prompted to enter the name of the table you want to create.

If it is an existing table, and it is a set of new records you want to add to it, click on "Query" then "Append Query" and select the relevant table and put in the field specifications to "Append to" in the query grid.

If it is an existing table and you want to amend data in existing records, select "Update Query" from the "Query" menu and insert the fields to "Append to" in the query grid.

Hope this helps.

Howard.

Sorry, that last bit should have read "Update to" not "Append to" - but you knew that anyway, didn't you?

Howard.
