We've been having a rash of users after they upgrade to XP SP2 that cannot connect to our secured site. We've been through all the MS troubleshooting for XP SP2 steps, and have looked at the router and firewall levels, nothing should be preventing people from getting to the site. They are getting "Page cannot be displayed" errors. We believe that it might have something to do with IE settings after upgrading to XP SP2.

Does anyone know if there is a method to dump the settings from the Advanced tab, and some of the Security settings? We'd rather not have to use screen shots, because of the sheer number required.

Thanks!

We were thinking of regedit, ideally we'd like to just give the user a command that they can execute and get the settings back to us. Many of the callers don't have a clue when it comes to computers, give them a gun, but don't give them a computer as they are far more dangerous with the computer! For that reason, most don't have admin rights.

We did go through that Technet article, in addition to one other Windows XP SP 2 troubleshooting article. Hit the forums and googled for other possibilites. Found tons of things to try all to no avail.

Try having them do a Start, Run, netsh winsock reset

They should then restart the computer and test.
