Just wondering can we create dummy ports in source qualifier eg a dual table.Is there any advantage of having such ports in the mapping.pls give an example

No, you cannot create dummy ports in a source qualifier.

Filtering an override SQl's are allowed, but you still have to comply with the number of ports that exist.

Use an expression transformation for creating dummy ports....
