will the SFP Transceiver connnect a 3Com® Baseline 2250 Switch to another? Do the SFP Transceiver kits come with the cable as well?

Mark C.

The SFP Tranceivers are NOT supplied with any fiber optic patch cables. All SFP, mini-GBIC and GBIC Tranceivers will "talk" to one another. Those are IEEE 802 standards. Before ordering any patch cables for the SFP, etc. check the Mode type and Connector type for your requirements. The spec sheets or documents from the 3Com website should provide that info. Then read the documentation. Mode type = Multimode, Singlemode fiber... More questions ask away...

Hope this helps!
