I started recently to work with photoshop... and I have a lot of questions... but only one is pressing me now: when I'm using Polygonal Lasso Tool, and I make a wrong click, HOW ON EARTH CAN I RETURN TO PREVIOUS CLICK ? I mean how can I step back to the previous state of selection ?
It seems to be a very simple problem, but no one could help me so far. It's been very annoying when it took me 20 min to make a polygonal selection.... and when I was about to close it, I made a wrong click and it all went to hell!
Thank you in advance...

Hit backspace, unless you double-clicked and joined the polygon, in which case you are SOL, because backspace will selete the selection.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

You really don't have to select all in one go(that's just looking for trouble) select an area and keep adding/ subtracting to/from it, and if it is going to take a long time to reproduce then save the selection every few mins or so.

Moe: It could have been a real ugly situation, but luckily I managed to shoot him in the spine.

Or just use the Pen in path mode and convert it to a selection when finished.

Or use quick mask.

Thank you all for the tips... you saved me a lot of time...
