I know you can hook up a duet plus night ringer on the headset jack of a digital phone but when i try with an ip phone it will not let me. Does anyone know of a way to make this work. I have an IP phone in a remote site that wants to use a external ringer.

Are you already using the AUX in the system? If not you can program the IP extension to ring through an AUX ringer.

The problem is that the ip phone is not in the same building as the bcm

I did that before for a customer that had two IP phones in a remote warehouse and they only way i had it to work was by opening the I2004 and connect directly to the speaker.
Of course it voids the warranty but it was working, the only problem was that after a reboot of the I2004 the ringing volume would default to low which was causing the Duet not to detect the ring tone, as i remember there was a patch for that, i think it was a bcm 3.6.
