Okay, this may sound a little off the wall. I have 2 external autoloaders, One HP surestore 24X6 and one Sony TSL 9000l. Love the HP, hate the Sony, but I need them both.

Here is my question, Can I install 2 SCSI cards one for each external device in my server and use Veritas 8.6 with both devices (same piece of software) to run both devices at the same time?

I want to run 2 backup jobs at the same time, remotely backing up several different servers. I think it will work if the backup devices are different.
The server itself is very healthy 4 procs, 4 gigs of ram.

Anyone? anyone?

Joe

This is what I am going to be doing. Currently taking down ArCserve 6. The tape drive I was using with ArCserve I want to add to my new backup server which already has a dell DLT robotic tape drive. I have been combing the knowledge base at veritis tech site to see how to do this. Follow this URL: search on "running backups simultaneously". Looks straight forward. I am using backup exec 8.6 windows2000/windowsNT
