Hi all,

Im have LinuxRH7.1 installed with Win2k. I can get Dual-boot to work using Lilo, but does anyone know if this can be done using Windows OS Loader via boot.ini instead? and how can i get Win OS Loader back on?

Many thanks!

Tommy

Hi,

I don't think this can be done using boot.ini . You could create an entry that points to a linux partition but I don't believe it would chain-load lilo if lilo were in that partition. You have more flexibility if your first partition is fat - in that case you can use loadlin --> or any of the commercial boot loaders such as system commander -->

I currently use the boot.ini in Win2K to chain load lilo on RH 7.1

I could not get Lilo to do the boot-loading due to the 1024 cyl restriction... I followed the instruction on this site to get myself going... I have done this on three workstations so far, without any hassles...

Hope it helps. AV
