Hi, Can you help me setting up dual terminal server on our office.

Currently we have 2 Windows Server 2003
1 Server for PDC - Wondows SBS 2003 Std.
1 Server for TS and Application - Wondows SBS 2003 Std.

We want to setup another Server for Terminal Server to lessen the work load of our First TS to prevent slowness on client side. This is not high availability TS setup. we just want to divide the load of connections of client pc.

I hope to hear from you.

Thanks and best regards,

You want to research Network Load Balancing (NLB) and terminal services. It's not that hard to set up Network Load Balancing. You basically have to create an IP address that is shared by both servers (they end up having an "NLB Adapter" in common), and as traffic goes to that IP, the servers share the traffic. There is a little HA created, but it's more for balancing loads between the two servers. You might want to try duplicating your existing TS with a full backup and restoring that to your new hardware, but before putting it on the network, remove the new server from the domain, rename it, then join it to the network and join the domain. That way you have identical configurations as far as the applications that are installed on it, assuming that changing the name doesn't screw anything up.

Another good way to do this is to use 2X, its an application a little like citrix, It's free for upto 5 users and about £1000 after that for loads of users, it works very well at load balancing etc.
