Hi all
I have two Sun servers and i have disabled nfs service. Is it possible if a user have account in both servers can run a cron job on one server it should also run on other server. Please guide.
Thanx
Puja

No it isn't possible, because you would need remote shell
access to the other box in order to fire off the same
process. If you've disabled the nfs service, then you've
probably also disabled the remote shell (rsh) service too
as it's a security risk to leave it in.
If rsh was allowed however, then your cron job could run
a script on both servers (but you would have to physically
store the script on both machines - unless you use nfs of
course!)
