I'm trying to design a dual redundant ethernet network between a PLC and a PC. Any info or direction to where I can find more on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

all you need is redundancy? Ethernet is designed to find and break loops, if you use multiple paths it will block all but one path until that path fails, then in about 45 seconds find a new path. (the buzzword is Spanning Tree)

there are propritary techniques to allow multiple cables to act as one (Nortel calls this Multilink Trunking) but no standards based way to use more than one connection at a time
I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
