I have been working on a large install and have an issue I can't figure out. We have a main office with a UCx 450, A Digium PRI gateway and a PRI Trunk. We also have a large branch office with a UCx 50, a Digium gateway and a PRI trunk. This is set up as a fail over so in the event our network bridge or the 450 would go down everything at the branch office would fail over to the UCx50. That part was easy enough but what I am specifically having an issue with is how to tell the sets at the branch office to use it's PRI/Digium for their outbound calls.

I didn't want to have to resort to different outbound codes for each location if I don't need too as they don't need to use them now except "9" for an outside line on their current BCMs.

Inbound and outbound all work OK but whenever the branch office phones make a call they tend to use the main office PRI instead of their own.

What am I missing, wouldn't think this would be that difficult but I can't find the answer I'm looking for.

For anyone to be able to answer your question, you need to post your UCX50 Trunk and Outbound Route programming. What you want to do should be very simple to accomplish but we need to see what you have now.

Without a lot of information I will give this a shot.
You have PRI's at each location. I would assume that you have a outbound route built at each location. Something like 9_North_American where you have your dial patterns identified.
I am also going to assume you have a SIP trunk Built between the Main UCx and the Branch UCx for interoffice dialing. (If not you need this)

In the Outgoing route in Trunk Sequence at the bottom of the screen, you would have your first and second route selections for where the calls should go out.
The Branch office would have the SIP trunk built for your Digium PRI as the first choice 0. Then choice 1 would be the SIP trunk you have built Between Main and the Branch.

You would do the same in reverse at the Main location.

In this scenario when someone dials 9 at the Branch the calls will attempt to go out the Digium PRI first. If for some reason it cannot go out the PRI then it will route the call to the second choice which is the SIP trunk between Main and the Branch.

Let us know how it goes.
