Hi guys,
I have a Windows 2K pro machine with dual NICs. One (LAN2) connects to my LAN and allows me to configure the system remotely using PCAnywhere. LAN1 connects to a router which I need to configure. The default router address is 192.168.1.1 and the NIC address I have set up as 192.168.1.10, mask 255.255.255.0. I can ping the router, and it uses Interface 1 to do so but I cannot open an IE session using http:\\192.168.1.1 in order to configure the router - and I cannot Telnet to it (open port 23 fail).
I've turned off proxy server settings in IE Tools/Connections/LAN - is there anything else I can try. I don't want to disable the NIC on interface 2 as I need it 'cos I'm 250 miles away using PCAnywhere.
