Dual Networker servers

All,

is it possible to backup & recover the one client to two Networker servers i.e.

I have a client I that is backed up at one site. I want to recover this data to another site, is this possible? What is involved?

Hello,

you just have to scan (scanner command) the tape containing data of your client on the second server in order to recover.

You may perform a recover by piping the output of scanner command to uasm -r, or you can only scan your tape to recreate index for this client in order to recover it later.

I'll have to add the client to the other server though yeah?

If you just scan your tape and pipe data to a NFS (exported from your machine to be written), no need to create client. And also, no need to have NW running.

But if you plan a scanner in order to repopulate index and media DB, you'll have to create your client (at least for having an IP address to send data to !)
