dual network interface question for solaris 7

Hello all,

I have a Sun E4500 server on an ATM backbone. I have that server attached to an APC Matrix UPS and I installed a web/snmp management card in the UPS. My questions are, are there going to be any conflicts with the two network interfaces up? Is a crossover cable my answer? And the all general question of, what is the best way to set this up?
