my hardware is this:
Soyo K7 DRAGON mobo
MSI GF4 Ti4200 128 ddr
and the problem causer......Trident PCI video (el crappo)
all under xp home

I have the s video on the GF4 cloning my desktop to a tv. What I am trying to do is have dual monitors, with the MSI being the primary and the trident being the second to extend my desktop to, and the tv to clone the msi. When xp see's the trident it install's it, my screen on the msi flickers off then on then i get the error "device can not start. (code 10)" on the trident. I have not been able to find updated drivers for the trident. the ones that xp puts on it is dated 6/6/2002. The monitor on the trident never evens comes on. I have updated xp and packed it, but still no go. Any Ideas???

Check for options in your bios to enable pci videocard.
You may be limited to one video card at a time AGP or PCI and not both at the same time If this is the case and one of your video cards are a dual card (two out puts on one card) just use that one. I'm almost sure only one card can be used at a time and the way to switch is in the bios. to enter the bios hold down delete button during boot-up,but be carefull in there. only change one thing at a time and remember what it was so you can change it back if necessary
