Dual Monitor Setup/Applications Disappear of Screen

At work I use an IBM T30, w/XP Pro in a docking station and a second monitor, it works great. Unfortunately when I take my laptop home any application that I had dragged to the second monitor at work auotmatically disappears, trying to go to the second monitor.

When I'm at home I disable the "extend my desktop" feature but the applications still disappear over there. They appear on the taskbar but when I click them I can see them go to the right and can't get them back. Anyone got a clue?

download ultramon and use it for your dual monitor manager. It allows you to specify many options for where the apps open up. It will also allow you to enable disable the secondary monitor with one click. Just disable it and all your apps will go to your primary monitor (laptop) and then when you get home you should have no prob. HTH
