I am looking into having a dual screen/dual PC setup, where either PC can handle both screens (if that makes any sense :p). One PC will run WinXP Pro and the other Linux. I would like a switch to change PC's or a keyboard shortcut (press CTRL twice fast on my current KVM switch). IS there a solution for this or would it be possible to hack two KVM switches? I have not yet decided about graphics cards, but that is probably not important. One monitor will use a VGA connector, while the other will use a digital one (just to confuse things).

Thanks, Ben

I really don't think you are going to find a reasonable KVM solution to a 2 PC, 1 DVI, 1 analog monitor situation.

I would use software so control the 2nd PC from the first, something like VNC if for example, that you could just minimize. Span the desktop of the XP machine for example, and when you wanted Linux, just drag your VNC or whatever software you use window over to to the monitor you want it on.

Or you just get another cheap monitor or two, and use a cheap KVM for the keyboard and mouse. Build/Buy a stand so you can have a monitor above a monitor perhaps. I would look at the various free software out there first though.
