Hello.

I need help with a small problem.
Among a lot of fields, I have the field "cust_nr" and the field "cust_name". They are both located in the Table "TrspReg".

I have set both "cust_nr" and "cust_name" to work in a drop-down list.

Now, here is my problem.

I want to be able to i.e. enter the customer id number in the field "cust_nr", and then the customer name shows in "cust_name" (this I have mede work), But I also would be able to enter the customer name instead of the customer number. I.e. I enter the customer name in "cust_name" and the customer number shows in "cust_nr".
That I cant meke work...
I need to make each field be replaces by the last input from the other field...

Can anyone help?.. :)

Thanx!

A workaround for this:

Duplicate the two fields.
Format one as valuelist and put it exactly over the first one, formatted as regular field.
Take one (not valuelist formatted) out of the tab order, not enterable.
Make this one a lookup from the other one and tranparent.

How it works.....

You go into the first field, cust_nr = valuelist, make your choice.
The cust_name field is formatted as a lookup and will display the custName value.
You don't know the cust_nr, but know the cust_name, go to the cust_name field (valuelist formatted) make your choice.
The (not as valuelist formatted cust_nr) is a lookup for the cust_nr and will display the custNumber value.

The fields are exactly the same size and will display the values.

Don't put the fields over each other first, play around first to see if everything is working well.
Then move them over each other....
