We have a reports server which is running fine. However we now have a home user who needs access to it. This is also all configured. However, I want to force the external user to log in (for security reasons) but don't require the internal ones to. If I just disable anonymous login and use NT login this works fine but everyone has to login. The easiest was of accomplishing what I wanted was to give the NT Server dual IP Addresses, set up a website on each address, both pointing to the Crystal Reports, allow access to one via the internet and ude NT login for this one. Then use the other access internally without having to log in.

This worked fine for about 2 minutes, but all that was then returned was that the standard Crystal responce saying the server was not running. If I revert back to one IP Address, the server runs fine but as soon as I enable 2, it stops running!!

It appears Crystal will not allow you to run Enterprise on a server with 2 IP Addresses, is this correct??

If not, has anyone got any ideas?

A bit more info may help:

Crystal Enterprise 8.0
Windows NT 4.0 Server (Service Pack 6a + patches)

OK, ignore all the above, it is actually stopping running when I assign a fixed IP Address rather than using DHCP. (even if only one IP Address!)

Any suggestions?
