dual head - fedora core 3

I have a fedora core 3 installation that I am trying to set up with two monitors using a single ATI All in Wonder 9600 (Radeon 9600). It has the ability to support multiple displays. I enabled the dual display through the KDE display control panel but currently both monitors display the same output. They both do have an image which makes me think that the display and video card are working, but I would like each screen to show a different virtual desktop. How can I accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated.
