I have windows 2000 pro installed on my current hdd, and wish to install windows 98 on a second, however, I have seen that it is unwise to install 98 after 2000, as it will not allow you to dual boot.

Anyone know a way to dual boot, safely?

You can install Win98 after installing Win2000..
this can be done if you have 2 primary hard Disks..

Now u did install Win2000,, go to Disk Management ,, and make another Primary Partition ,, and make this new Partion ACTIVE.
Then Boot the Windows ,, and by a Win98 Bootable Disk , boot the Computer..
Then Install Win98 on the Primary Partion which you built and which you made active ..

After this ,, you will be able to dual boot ...

If you did Install Win2000 on C: and you install Win98 on D: , When you are in Win2000 and want to go to Win98 , just make D: is the Active partion .. and reboot ..
And If you are on Win98 and Want to go to Win2000 , just make C: is Active using Fdesk from Command. then Rebbot..
