I have a IMAC G3 400 Mhz. The imac had OS X 10.2.8 plus Classic 9 for my older applications. Just recent, the computer doesn't boot into OS X anymore, straight to OS 9. What happen? I had multiple users on OS X side with their respective profiles, now all gone except for one, which was the admin account. When I browse the users folder in OS 9 I see all the accounts but states deleted, example (diane deleted, kim deleted) when i browse their folders and look for their files, all gone, except for one, the admin account which i was able to retreive all the files on that account. Is there anyway i can retreive other users files they had saved on their repective desktops? Any tips or clues, thanks.

if you go to system preferences and select startup disks you should be able to select between os9 and os x, select os x and restart, u should then boot up in 10 again.

tip: stop dual booting.

When you are in OS9, you (or any user) have the ability to really screw up an OSX installation by renaming or deleting files. These same files are locked when booting into OSX. This is why Apple stopped selling dual-booting computers. It can lead to ruin.
