I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7 as the Primary Partition. I have it dual booting into Windows 8. I use Windows 8 all the time, so am looking at getting rid of Windows 7 without having to rebuild.
As the bootmgr is located on the Primary partition (windows 7) I can't just delete the partition. How do I make the Windows 8 Partition, which is a logical drive, a primary partition, so I can then edit the bootmgr and delete Windows 7 partition???

Boot into Windows 8

Find 'Run' and enter 'msconfig'

Select the 'Boot' tab

Click on 'Windows 7...' in the grid and then on the Delete button.

Reboot and you will boot into Windows 8

Select File Explorer, right click on Computer, left click on 'Manage'

Left click Storage > Disk Management and clean up disks as required.

That's as I remember last time I did it. [smile]
