I have installed on my Pc first win NT 4.0 sp6 and then Linux Red Hat 6.0, so I had LILO Boot with a double entry (WinNT - Linux) :-D .

For a strange situation, after a crashed installation of Office 2000 :-s, my Pc never boot :-|.

First show Plug & Play detection menu, then the summary of hardware configuration, and then stop ! (N)

The cursor blink, but no other messages is displayed :-( .

It's very important to recover the NT configuration and data.

For the data I'll backup the hard disk on another NT machine, but anyone know how recover the NT configuration ?

best regards

we had something similar in our company
the only way when the computer started was to clear the cmos and then restart
if this works - transfer the entire disk image to another disk and try it with the new one

but i don't know if this helps

Fdisk /mbr should get you back into NT.
