Hi,

i have a server which does not have sql server installed on it but does have the dtsrun.exe utility (sql server 7) installed.

an issue has cropped up in that our developers now want to run a dts package that was created in 2000.

are there issues with running a 2000 package in this type of environment?

Yes. SQL7 dtsrun can not correctly parse the SQL 2000 DTS file. You'll need the dtsrun from a SQL 2000 install.
