DTS with two servers

I am missing something and the Mountain Dew is not helping this morning.

Have two physical sql 2000 servers. One running 2003 server & one running 2000 server. Have the same databases on both (since the old use to have all databases and some legacy application can not handle the new server).

When there was only one server I had DTS set up to pull data from one database to another on the same server (nothing fancy). Now I want some of the DTS packages to go from Server1 to Server2. SO I changed the Server in the Connection properties for those applicable DTSs, but when I run the DTS it still is pushing to the Server1 database even though the connection says Server2.

I am sure it is something easy, but what am I missing?

You might have to got all tabs of Transformation Propert tabs and verify all fileds and mapping are correct. So time you just have repopulate the source and destination. Some time SQL DTS are funny in this case...

Good Luck.

field mapping did not change. Just the source or destination - if I take the db offline on the old server I can get the DTS to fail (which means to me that it is going after the old server's db even though the properties say that it is the new server).

along the same lines - any way to use an 'execute sql task' to go from one server to the another? The connection is set to the source server.
