I use SQL 2000 version pack 3.
When exporting to a text file from a varchar field (set to 2000 characters) it is being truncated to 255 characters.
I have found the article which refers to this know problem.
However they say it was cured in service pack 2! Did it make a reappearance for service pack 3 as a special guest?
I will use .xls instead, but I would like to know why this is still happening or if there is any setting or anything I need to change. Can someone test their set-up?
