DTS to EXCEL file

Feeling fragile, I had a bad night last night -- too much ale!

So please help me, I need to export data into an excel file.

I have tried and there are two things that I can't seem to resolve -

1. the file must already exist for it to work - is this the case???

2. Because the file already exists it appends data, how do I stop that??

Work it out for my self...

Feeling a lot more refreshed today and decided to get to the bottom of it.

The way round this is to create a text file, but call it a .xls and when it is emailed to the user they just open it using excel..

it works .....
