I used the DTS wizard in SQL 2000 and saved it as a package to copy data from one table in one database to a table with the same name in another database and it also deletes any data in the destination database.

I have about 30 tables I need to copy but I don't know how to duplicate the tasks and steps in the DTS design window.

It looks the same when I set it up, but the original has a "step" where my copy has a "task". Is there a difference? Anything else I need to know?

I am copying to a test database.

thanks.

Thanks!

Hi Barb,

I assume the other 29 tables are all the same structure at source / destination as well as the 1 you've been playing with? If so, why not do all the required tables using the wizard in one package. Good luck!
