DTS not running with error 22022

I have a DTS package schedule to run every one hour. Today to my surprise it stopped running. I mean not failed, not succeeded. Just stuck.

When i right click on the package and try to start job, it says
"ERROR 22022:SQL SERVER AGENT ERROR: REQUEST TO RUN JOB REFUSED BECAUSE THE JOB IS ALREADY RUNNING FROM A REQUEST FROM SCHEDULE 27".

Any suggestions.

Why dont you kill the process (SPID) thats running that DTS pacakage and rerun.

Sorry for being dumb, but that's the problem with newbies. I do not know how to identify the process running this DTS and what command to use to kill the process.

I would appreciate your help.

Goto Enetrprise Manager, drill down to your server

Management==>Current Activity==>Process Info
In the right panel you should be able to see all process thats running on that server. You can scroll to the right and you should see under "Applcation" DTS Designer, then you can right click on that Process ID and kill. Then refersh the Current Activity, that process would be gone. If the process has been running for days, sotimes it will take that much time to Roll back. If you dont care the process roll back you may proceed to restart the SQL service.

The problem got resolved. Thank you. Did not have to kill the process. I reschedule the job and it run after five or six attempts.
