DTS Mail package refuses to send email

I have a DTS package that includes mail packages. The mail profile is set up correctly and when the package is run manually the mail package works. However when the package is queued the mail refuses to send and the package fails - even though the package is running under the same account as when it is run manually

Pls help this is doing my head in !!

hmmm.... not sure on this. my only (lame) advice would be to check the status of the SQLAgent service to be sure that it has started.
