DTS Log files - make more easy to use?

Hi,

Is there any way to make DTS Log files more easy to read?

All of my DTS packages have a log file, as well as each Data Transformation, however, when a package has failed and I go to look back at the information it is in a really unhelpful format. e.g. it has the names of Transformations such as DataTransformation1 instead of the names i use in my package.

Does anybody have suggestions on how to log each step of a DTS package in a user-friendly format?

If you edit the package, right click on a blank space, select Disconnected Edit you can change those useless names to something more usefull.
