I have a DTS package that runs perfectly if ran manually. But if I run the scheduled job for it, the job fails. I tried it on a different server but I got the same result.
What's the error message
Is everything installed on the server that's also installed on your local machine (Excel, drivers etc etc etc)
“I sense many useless updates in you... Useless updates lead to defragmentation... Defragmentation leads to downtime...Downtime leads to suffering..Defragmentation is the path to the darkside.. DBCC INDEXDEFRAG and DBCC DBREINDEX are the force...May the force be with you" --
Here is your answer "The system cannot find the path specified"
Is the file on your local server, is it a mapped drive, can the SQL server Box see this location

In addition to the previous response remeber that when
you schedule a DTS job the DTS package is run by the
account/login that also starts the MS SQL AGENT.
That account make not have the necessary privs on files, folders or shares that your account has.
