Hello,
I am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I have used DTS a bit - but just ammending other peolpes packages and a few basic ones myself.

I have the connection to Oracle and SQL select task done ok. But want I want to do is feed the data out to a file. That bit is ok too. The difficult bit is I want the file name to be created according to time from a SQL statement ie sales_2004_07.txt ie sales figures for the year 2004 period 7. The time will be received from Oracle from a SQL task.

I also want to do a simple Active X script to zip the file. Oh and an active x script to email me.

Is there someplace good on the web with examples? Anyone got any good code for this? Any good web articles would be good too. I have visited microsoft but there seems to be so much stuff I cant find what I want.

Cheers.
Mark.
