Hello all,
I scheduled dts jobs using dts wizard to schedule data transformation from access to sql server but when I attempted to schedule, it failed with the following error:

"The Data Pump Task requires Transformations to be specified"

I was wondering if anyone knows what that means and how to resolve it.
Thanks

in your dts package right click on the datapump task check that your source and destinations tables are set correctly then click on the transform tab and make sure you have column mappings set.

hi MDXer,
how do I see datadump?

When I right click on my dts package ( I assume you mean the dts package I created), I see Design Package, Execute Package, Schedule Package, Versions, Package Logs etc.
I don't see datadump.

Chinedu ...

you need to OPEN the DTS package (design package). Once in there you need to double click your Source connection, Target connection and the "task" that links the 2 connections up. That "task" is really the "data pump" portion. 10 to 1 you will find that in the task, the transformation process is not being mapped correctly from the Source to the Target destinations. Hope this helps!

Thanks

Bless your good heart, You and MDXer have saved me because it is working now.
More importantly, I have learned something new.
Thank you very much.
