I have a table that I want to load with DTS. The problem is that the key is GUID. It fails on this field. How do I get around this and still be able to load the table. I am using GUID in hopes that I can use the Department number as a foreign key to other fields. Am I way off base, and should be attacking this in a different fashion? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Can you provide a explanation of the source and destination tables? I am confused by It fails on this field. Is there a source GUID that prevents row(s) from being loaded? Do you want the primary key of the destination to be a GUID, but it is not being populated? A little more info please.

I just got it. I was trying to use GUID as an ID, because I couldn't get the foreign key to work and didn't know if it was because it was a primary key. Come to find out, it erroring out was because there was data in the other tables. I was able to remove the GUID, get the relationships, and foreign keys to work. I appreciate your quick response and willingness to help. If you haven't figured it out, I am pretty new and this and trying to figure it all out without classes. Maybe not the brightest move....

Thanks again,
DMM
