DTS - import dates properly from csv files 1

I am using a DTS script by Darren Green (

(thanks Darren!) to import multiple csv files into SQL 2000 database. In the first step, creating the table, I set the fields up with the format they should be and made my two date fields 'datetime'. The csv date format is mm/dd/yyyy.

1. Will SQL convert the date automatically?
2. If not, what do I need to do?
