DTS Fails with One of Two Messages

I'm attempting to run a rather lengthy DTS package, but it's breaking on the same step repeatedly. When I first run it the first error below appears and the next time I run it the second error appears and SQL is stopped. If I manually open the transform data task and run each transformation manully using 'test' there are no errors. When I attempt to run just the step again the errors appear. Any ideas?

Error 1:
The task failure on execution. Extent (1:760) not found in shared extent directory.

Error 2:
Error Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server Error Description: The task reported failure on execution. [DBNETLIB][ConnectionRead (WrapperRead()).]General network error. Check your network documentation.

Are you trying to use a drive that is mapped to your local machine that is not mapped the same way on the server? For instance my L:\ drive points to my mp3 directory @ work. There is no L:\ drive on our production SQL box. So if I reference that drive in the package I would assume that I would get a similar error.
