DTS Backup and Restore

DTS packages are actually stored in the MSDB database in a table called sysdtspackages.
If you want to back up individual packages once they are changed, I would recommend saving them to a "Structured Storage File" and then backing up drive where you saved them. We actually save them as a "Structured Storage File" and them maintain source control with Visual SourceSafe.

It is called DTSBackup 2000.
It is useful, if you have your packages as local packages, but you want to copy them somewhere else as (structured) files.
