DTMF Tones on Digital Sets

We have noticed an issue when connecting Digital sets to the DS ports on a Expansion Module. When you press buttons on the telephone to dial a extension or outside number, a true DTMF digit is not played through the speaker of the phone. It is a high frequency sound, but the same sound for every button pressed.

When you connect Digital sets to the embedded DS Ports on a IP Office and do the same thing, they do play true DTMF tones.

Any idea why this is and how to correct it?

Thanks,

The IP office isn't sending DTMF straight to the trunk, the tones are just for the comfort of humans that dialing is taking place. As for the difference between DS ports on expansion vs. base module, I would have to see that for myself.

WHat release is the IPO. I think they have fixed this in the newer releases.

It is 3.2(54).

We were also told that it was fixed in the above release, but it did not make a difference.

Thanks,

Brett
