Do you main the relay's contact on the IPO...or do you have an external box connect to an analog port.

Try to put in IVR Port.
Goto;
Extension > select extension > Analogue tabs > select IVR Port.
If you have a doorphone, after a disconnect mostly you'lle get a log busy tone. It can be changed by "local busy tone"
Goto;
Sytem > Telephone tab > mark "local busy tone"

lets say someone is at the doorphone rings ,you pick the phone up and talk.
Then you need to end the call and disconnect
then do the shortcode !!!

no, we missunderstood. I have a box that is an analogue device which is connected to the doorphone. someone bells the door, the boxs calls an extension.
you can pickup and talk with the guy at the door, to open the door you have to send a dtmf to the box while the door is on the line. My box opens the door with a 5 and you can release the connection with the #. Now i want to set up a button on an ipphone called door so that you can press it and it sends dtmf on the call 5xxxxxxxxxxxx# where x is a pause. it doesn´t work in 4.1.9.
perhaps its my codec

does it work if you dial the code with the keypad? i dont think there is any short code that will dial on an live call.

yes it works when i dial with the keypad. i tried it again and went back to 3.257,
if i set up a button with
door
dial
555
it dials only the first digit in DTMF, that would be enough to open the door, in 4.19 it doesn´t dial the first digit as an dtmf.
system i use is an smoe and 5610.
