DTMF Recievers on DTI

How many DTMF receivers are on a DTI card. On a DID Trunk cartridge I know that you have 4 dedicated DTMF recievers. Also, can someone give me a DTMF lesson on how to calculate the number of recievers needed. A customer is having alarms stating not enough DTMF recievers for the DTI card. I know you can add a second combo fiber expansion card if they have XC or a services card for more reveivers. Thanks darnold@americaii.com

I WAS TOLD BY ITAS THAT DTI'S DO NOT HAVE ANY DTMF'S, THE SYSTEM ITSELF HAS 4 IF I REMEMBER RIGHT AND THE COMBO CARD ACCORDING TO ITAS HAS 5. IF YOU HAVE A ISDN PRI CKT IT DOES NOT USE DTMF'S. I HAVE A 0X32 WITH 2 T1 NON ISDN 12 LOCAL AND 36 BOTH WAY LD. TELEMARKETING COMPANY,WHEN THEY ADVERTISE ON TV YOU SHOULD SEE THE CALLS COMING IN (DNIS)TO THE HUNT GRP.
NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS

The MICS installer guide makes one statement about the DTMF receivers that are on the SERVICES or COMBO cartridges
"In a fully expanded system using 48 digital channels, consider installing two service cartridge functionality to prevent blocking of incoming calls due to lack of DTMF resources."
On the smaller cards Nortel has one DTMF Receiver for each trunk but I remember that the number was less than a 1:1 ratio. No formula involved with norstar since it is pre-engineered for you. JerryReeve

ITAS had me add a E&M card to a system needing more DTMF resources. It took care of the issue.
