I need to swap out the B8DMRA card in my switch. Is this a hot-swappable card or is there a "procedure" for changing this card? My TLOG is showing "Temporary failures" on this card. It's been suggested I just swap it out. Here's a recent TLOG:

So we swapped out the B8DMRA card but these "Temporary Failures" continue to happen. Here's a later TLOG snapshot.

Does anybody know what could be causing this. Other than these messages popping up in the TLOG all the time, I'm not seeing any other symptoms or problems. All IC/OG calls and all features seem to be working fine. This just started after we did a PH2 restart of the switch recently.

What would be the next step in trying to figure out what's causing these failures.

This is really a bogues error, In your tlogs, octets 6 and 7 (2479) Look and see and you will find it is an un built ext. Try comeing in on another unbuilt DID number and you will see it in your tlogs. to correct...

On PRI trks if the B channel trk grp TLT is a 4 and the trunks are not marked as DID you will not get this error when an unbuilt # is dialed.

If the trk grps TLT is 0 and the trks are marked for DID both day and night. You will get this error in tlog when an unbuilt # is dialed.

perv2; Appreciate the feedback, but I don't think the errors I continue to see quite fit the scenario you describe. In the Maint. Manual, the closest description I can find to what I'm seeing comes from page 6-103 (R15 manual) and reads as (in part);

4. Fault Log Message
Tyyyyyyyy CPRi #9 MODE 07HH HHHH HH01 20HH HH YY-MM-DD WEK HH:MM
NOTE: yyyyyyyy shows the equipment number in external expression.
- Detailed Information
0) 07 - DNIS digit manipulation error
1) HH - ENH : Internal expression of EN (H)*1
2) HH - ENL : Internal expression of EN (L)*1
3) HH - MENH: Internal expression of EN (H)*2
4) HH - MENL: Internal expression of EN (L)*2
5) 01 - EVNTH : Event number (H)
6) 20 - EVNTL : Event number (L)
7) HH - Digit 1 and Digit 0 received
8) HH - Digit 3 and Digit 2 received

First this says the event H/L should be 01/20 but I'm seeing 01/24. I can't find a description of 01/24 anywhere so I'm not sure if the above applies or not. Assuming that it does, this show the extension as being in octets 7) & 8). Octet 7) is alwyas 79H, but octet 8) varies. I'm not quite sure how to translate the four digits to an "extension" or "DNIS" code. I doubt there are unbuilt extensions because this error started just after we PH2 restarted the switch. All extension definitions would have been the same before and after. You are correct -- I do have incoming TG with TLT=0, but they are set for QDID/FNA.
