Im having a problem with calls on MICS systems connected with VOIP Gateways ocasionally routing to the wrong extention. Has anyone else had these problems?
It is probably not routing to a wrong extension... You have to enter the Target Line of the person's assigned extension. I just do not believe you can just dial an extension.
what is being said is.... did you assign target lines to the sets or are you frontending sys/ip gateway with a AA on VM...we have become a testy group....if you dont understand the question call your vendor and have him explain it...we dont work for free
i understand the programming, just not the response. The phone systems are set up with target lines assigned on all sets, and the LS lines attached to the VOIP Gateway are set to auto answer. I have set up routing codes so that users can dial 4 digits for internal calls and for external calls over the Gateway. The system works fine with a slight delay but occasionaly the calls go to the wrong extention. I was wondering if anyone had that same problem.
I think I explained the answer correctly. Is this happening to a particular set, user, or just user error? Are there enough DTMF receivers for every 2 circuits? According to the manual, for every 2 LS lines a E&M card must be used. There are only 5 DTMF Receivers (I believe) in a clock card. Do you have enough?
One system has no PRI, at one time the system had a T1, hence the services cartridge now uses POTS. Software I believe is 2.0. The other system has a PRI and is 5.0
I have not had this problem with sites running R1T1 with (E&M cards) all the way to MICS 6.1. Try to see if this could possibly be a user error or a routing programming problem.
