Hello Everyone,

I've installed days ago a BCM50 Release 3.0 with SIP trunks connected to a provider. The calls can be terminated and originated with no problem.

Our problem is that we are trying to use the Auto Attendant on those trunks but at this moment it cannot be used because once we press any key it doesn't recognize the tones and the recording keeps on running.

On the IP Trunks Settings on the Telephony Resources Tab, the 'Ignore in-band DTMF in RTP' option is un checked.

Please, let me know.

Thanks

You should be ablr to send DTMF, call a phone off your switch and see if you can both pass DTMF to each other.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Analog trunks or PRI. Sounds like an answer supervision problem.

DUHHHH SIP trunks.... Still sounds like the far end CO is not getting answer supervision from your carrier.

Just a thought, Nortel confirmed a known problem with T-Mobile and AT&T cellular phones on the 3.0 not being able to get past the AA. You get a message saying that ext doesn't exist. They don't have an answer for it yet.
